Bluemedia’s Audible: What Sports Stadiums of the (Near) Future Might Look Like

Bluemedia is an event graphics company in Arizona that provides graphic decor and technology for venues, including the last six Super Bowls. It works with all major sport leagues and brands, including Microsoft, Visa, Pepsi, and many others.   The company was originally founded in 1997 by RJ Orr and Jared Smith as The Golf Tournament Group, with the goal of consulting for charity golf tournaments. But after forming relationships with event volunteers who didn’t work in golf and seeing more opportunities, they expanded into bluemedia. We caught up with Orr to talk about bluemedia’s vast presence in the sports industry and how the company is adapting to a world with no live events. Can you give us a quick overview of bluemedia and any notable projects that stand out? With The Golf Tournament Group, we did consulting and merchandising for small charity golf tournaments.
