Getty ImagesTop-flight English soccer club Watford have signed a four-year kit supply deal with Chinese-owned sportswear brand Kelme worth around UK£10 million (US$12. 35 million), according to the Athletic. The Premier League club’s current UK£750,000 (US$932,000) a year contract with German sportswear giant Adidas is expiring at the end of the season and its extension clause has not been activated. All Premier League games could be televised under Project RestartAccording to the Athletic, the main reason behind the ambitious value projection for Watford is Kelme’s reach in the Asian market. The brand will reportedly champion the Watford kit across its network of stores in the region. Kelme has deals in Spain with top-flight outfits Alaves and Espanyol, but this its first in England.
