Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors’ 1-0 victory over Suwon Samsung Bluewings was live streamed globally on both social media platforms. Viewers in Turkey represented 18 per cent of the audience share, followed closely by Brazil (15 per cent) and Spain (nine per cent). Interest in the K League has piqued in recent weeks following news of its resumption behind closed doors during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and a dearth of live sport that it caused. In total, matches from the K League’s delayed start were televised in 36 territories, with broadcast rights deals brokered by the league’s sales consultant, Sportradar, on the back of a five-year partnership struck in December.
