La Liga return to be broadcast for free in UK

Getty ImagesThe return of La Liga will be shown for free in the UK when Spanish soccer’s top flight gets back underway next month. All live games in June will be available to Sky TV customers on LaLigaTV, the 24/7 channel launched earlier this year by the league and its UK broadcast partner Premier Sports. Free coverage until July will also be offered to non-Sky subscribers through the Premier Player streaming service.  As well as live matches, LaLigaTV will provide viewers with exclusive daily programming, including classic matches and the weekly #BackToWin show, which is building up to the resumption of soccer in Spain. La Liga’s pandemic playbook part two: Tooling up clubs and the return to playThe 2019/20 La Liga has been suspended since 12th March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, but the Spanish government has given the green light for the league to resume from 8th June. A specific return date has not yet been confirmed, but La Liga president Javier Tebas said the opening fixture could be the Seville derby between Sevilla and Real Betis as early as 11th June.
