NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo nets stake in Ready Nutrition

Getty ImagesNational Basketball Association (NBA) superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has made his first brand investment with Ready Nutrition. The Milwaukee Bucks’ Greek forward, who was last season’s most valuable player (MVP), has secured an ownership stake in the sports nutrition startup and will have creative input at multiple levels of the business. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, but Sportico reported that Antetokounmpo is making a ‘low seven-figure’ investment in the company. The deal will also see Antetokounmpo, 25, exclusively endorse Ready Water, which he has been using for two years, and other Ready products. Antetokounmpo joins Ready founder and president Pat Cavanaugh and National Football League (NFL) star Aaron Donald as a co-owner of the company.
