Philadelphia 76ers triple social media production during Covid-19 suspension

Getty ImagesThe Philadelphia 76ers' chief marketing officer Kate O’Reilly has revealed that the National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise have shifted their content production to social media in order to engage fans during the coronavirus pandemic. With the NBA in lockdown due to the global health crisis, the 76ers have moved quickly to refocus their output away from traditional channels. O’Reilly, speaking during SportsPro’s Insider Series, explained the extent of the team's efforts during sport’s enforced hiatus. “We have these robust marketing channels that went from live games to events in the community to television… literally all we really have right now is social media. That is our connection to our fans right now,” she said. “The focus there has been incredible.
