TV4 secures La Liga rights

Telia-owned TV4 Media has followed up last week’s acquisition of UEFA Champions League rights from next year by extending its current rights to top-tier Spanish football. The Swedish broadcaster has acquired  LaLiga rights until the end of the 2025-26 season in both Sweden and Finland. In addition to club football from Italy’s Serie A and LaLiga, TV4 and the group’s pay TV arm C More also show the men’s World Cup and European Championships, UEFA Nations League, and qualifiers and national team friendlies for both men and women. In addition, TV4 and C More own the rights to the Swedish Cup for men and women as well as the US soccer league, MLS. Starting in the autumn of 2021, TV4 and C More will broadcast the UEFA Champions League. “Following the acquisition of the UEFA Champions League, LaLiga is another very important element in our strong offering of world class football,” said Casten Almqvist, CEO of TV4 Media.
