Jamie Murray’s charity tournament seals Amazon Prime rights deal

Getty ImagesTechnology giant Amazon has agreed a UK rights deal to broadcast Jamie Murray's charity British tennis tournament on its Prime Video over-the-top (OTT) service. The six-day Schroders Battle of the Brits event is being held behind closed doors at the headquarters of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the national tennis body, in Roehampton from 23rd to 28th June.  The deal provides Prime Video exclusive broadcast rights to the event in the UK and Ireland, whilst the Sinclair-owned pay-TV Tennis Channel will air the tournament on its linear and streaming platforms in the US. The recently launched international Tennis Channel Plus streaming service has secured rights deals covering Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Discovery’s Eurosport network has agreed a broadcast partnership covering the rest of Europe. The event will feature Jamie Murray and his brother Andy, the three-time men’s singles Grand Slam winner, as well as several of the UK’s top-ranked male tennis players.
