It was a joint decision between the league and the team, sources said. Floyd, a black man, was killed last week in Minneapolis after Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes. Floyd's death sparked protests throughout the U. S. ESPN received a statement from the Minnesota RØKKR explaining the decision.
