A deal between Sky Sports and the English Football League (EFL) will see all 108 remaining Championship fixtures made available for broadcast, with the UK pay-TV network airing 30 games via its linear and digital channels. Club season ticket holders will be given free access to all fixtures on the iFollow streaming service or club equivalent over-the-top (OTT) platform at no extra cost, while games will also be available on pay-per-view (PPV). Individual clubs will decide who else is eligible for free access to live games. As per its existing EFL broadcast partnership, Sky Sports will also air exclusive coverage from 15 playoff games across all three English professional soccer tiers below England’s top-flight Premier League. The settlement deal agreed between the EFL and Sky is designed to help to limit the financial impact on their existing arrangement while both parties mitigate losses related to the coronavirus pandemic.
