How ESL boosted its media rights revenue with the Pro Tour

SportsBusiness reports that a global value of $49. 5 billion (£39. 1 billion) was reached when it came to sports media rights in 2018, making up over 40 percent of the total revenue in the industry. However, Newzoo reports that esports media rights were valued at $93 million (£73. 5 million) in the same year – making up 14 percent of the total industry revenue. Sports are traditionally broadcast on linear television, with the likes of football and basketball being the main sources of entertainment for many across the globe.
