Amazon’s Premier League games to stream on Twitch for free

The top-flight English soccer fixtures will be co-streamed by prominent Twitch personalities, also enabling fans to interact with each other during the games using the platform’s chat function. It will mark the first time Premier League games have streamed on Twitch, which holds a handful of partnerships in sport with the likes of North America’s National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL). Amazon has also aired its National Football League (NFL) Thursday night coverage on the platform in recent years. Amazon’s four Premier League matches to be made available freeSimilar to Sky Sports and BT Sport, the Premier League’s domestic pay-television broadcast partners, Amazon has collaborated with video game developer EA Sports to source crowd noise for its broadcasts on Prime Video. The ‘Stadium Atmosphere’ feature will be optional alongside match commentary for all Prime Video fixtures, allowing viewers to choose to watch the action without crowd noise, which was recorded in stadiums during previous live games.
